About the Event
Great local music served up with delicious wood-fired pizza and mead!
We are delighted to welcome Bells & Whistles back to the barn stage! !
How it works:
- We strongly urge you to preorder your pizza! We make a limited number of pizzas based on our parking capacity, and pizzas usually sell out several days in advance.
- One ticket entitles you to a 14-inch wood-fired pizza with your choice of toppings - usually plenty for two people. When you arrive at the farm, order your toppings at the pizza wagon from our seasonal pizza menu. Both meat and veggie pizzas are offered, featuring local and farm ingredients. Cold beverages and homemade ice cream sandwiches are available for purchase at the farm.
- Squash Blossom Farm now has a Farm Winery and will be offering a variety of our meads (wine made with honey) in tasting flights, by the glass, and by the bottle!
- Sorry, we are not able to make refunds or change your date if you change your mind. If the weather is stormy and we cancel, we will contact you as early as possible and will post on the event page and on FB to let you know, and we will refund your purchase.
Thank you for visiting Squash Blossom Farm - we hope you find the pizza delicious, the music delightful and that you have a wonderful, relaxing time!
FAQs:
Do I need to pre-order pizza?
Yes. Pizzas nearly always sell out in advance. If not sold out, we will happily sell you a pizza but we often have to turn people away who just show up.
How do I order the pizza toppings? What about beverages and dessert?
After arriving, come to the pizza cart in front of the barn to confirm your order and select your toppings from our meat or vegetarian pizza creations. Pizzas will be made starting at 4 p.m. in the order the pizza orders are confirmed at the cart. Appetizers and desserts will also be available. Mead may be purchased in the mead-tasting room.
Do you have Gluten-free/Vegan/Dairy-free Pizzas?
We can accommodate requests for Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free or Vegan pizzas. (Request when you order your toppings.) GF pizzas are made on a commercial cauliflower crust and will be baked separately to avoid contact with flour. Due to special handling, expect them to take longer. There is no additional charge, but GF pizzas are smaller than our sourdough pizzas. (Note: We will handle your GF pizza with great care, but we are primarily a bakery, milling flour and baking with flour in our kitchen; we cannot guarantee zero exposure to gluten.)
Does each person need a ticket?
No, a "ticket" represents one pizza, which typically serves two adults. There is no admission fee for the music.
Can we come just to listen to the music?
Sorry, We only have enough parking availability for our pizza- purchasing customers.
Can we bring our own food or beverages?
We kindly request no outside food and beverages, as our pizza and drink sales are how we pay our staff, the band, and our farm expenses.
Where do we park?
We have limited parking in our pasture, so please try to share rides and be sure to park within the indicated spaces. Parking is not allowed along the road.
Can I ride my bike there?
Yes!! We encourage bikers and will demonstrate our appreciation by offering you a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage if you arrive by bicycle.
We are not far off the Douglas Bike Trail!
Do you have seating? Paper plates and plastic silverware?
We have some seating, but you may wish to bring your own comfy lawn chair or picnic blanket. In an effort to reduce wasteland plastic, we will serve your pizza on a metal pizza pan rather than a box and provide napkins. You may wish to bring your own plates and silverware. We request that you haul out your trash & recycling and help keep the farm tidy.
Can we walk around the farm?
Yes!! You are also welcome to enjoy the yard games. Please enjoy the gardens, the paths, visit the fairy garden, check out the Vardo and the art. Visit the farm's donkeys, goats, chickens, and gardens, but do not go into their enclosures or feed them.
Parents, please keep a close eye on your children and instruct them to be respectful of the farm and animals. Remember, it is the nature of farms to have potential hazards such as electric fences, ponds, equipment and livestock. Please do not allow your children to chase the animals, throw rocks and other things into the fish pond, climb on the wood pile or the vintage truck, or pick the vegetables and flowers.
Can I bring my well-behaved, leashed dog?
No, not unless it is a certified service dog. There are often many small children in attendance, and we have a lot of farm animals and 4 friendly farm dogs who do not appreciate other dogs on the farm.
Is the farm accessible?
There are designated handicapped parking spaces close to the barn, and, if needed, guests may be driven up to the barn and dropped off/picked up. We have an accessible restroom. The greenhouse and mead room are accessible and located on hardscaped paths, and the audience area is adjacent to a packed gravel driveway. Depending on recent weather and soil conditions, some areas of the farm may be problematic for a wheelchair.
